Hi there, I’m Aisling.
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist in Dublin, supporting adults who are experiencing a range of issues and in a number of areas.
I offer online therapy across Ireland, and walk and talk therapy in Dublin for clients who prefer a more informal, outdoor setting.
My Background & Training
My early professional background was in teaching, psychology and sociology, having trained at University College Cork and University College Dublin. I later completed my psychotherapy training at Middlesex University- a dream of mine for many years.
Before moving into private practice, I worked in community education, including adult literacy and migration support. This experience shaped my understanding of how social, relational and early life experiences influence mental health, self-esteem and patterns in adulthood.
My Approach – Humanistic & Integrative Therapy
I work from a Humanistic and Integrative approach, tailoring therapy to each individual client. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, we work collaboratively to understand your experiences, identify patterns, and build emotional resilience at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
My work is trauma-informed and may draw on:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Humanistic Therapy
- Psychodynamic therapy
- Attachment-informed approaches
- Family Systems perspectives
- Mindfulness and breathwork
At the core of my practice is the therapeutic relationship. I offer a warm, non-judgemental and compassionate space where you can explore anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-worth, stress, or life transitions.
I provide:
- Online counselling and psychotherapy nationwide across Ireland
- Walk and talk therapy in Dublin, combining movement and conversation in a supportive, structured way
Together, we can decide which format feels right for you.
Professional Accreditation
I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MIACP). All of my work adheres completely to the IACP Code of Ethics, ensuring safe, professional and ethical standards of counselling and psychotherpy.
